Apps for living!

A is for APPLE…B is for Ball and C is for Crazy….cuz I do not have an Iphone 

I know my “C” is a little out of context here but in some ways I am left in the dust or dark…depending on what you prefer. I mean in our everyday lives we are texting, googling, and facebooking all the time but, what about the apps? I mean apps, apps, and more apps…are all over the place.

Well, maybe not for some of us who to do not own and Iphone or an Andorid but, for those “smart”

enough to purchase “smartphone” you are rolling in the knowledge!
I am sitting here thinking of all of the educational investments I have made throughout my life and feel like I could have had more fun if I had a smartphone.
I mean in my:
Search for colleges I could have used these for testing:

1. SAT Vocab Challenge
2. Kaplan TOEFL Vocabulary Flashcards
3. Math Ref
Medical Assistant program I could have used the following:
1. Netter’s Anatomy Flash Cards
2. BrainPOP for Health
3. Molecules 3D
4. LabTimer
Associates Degree in Visual Communications I could have used these:
1. Adobe Photoshop
2. Brushes
3. SketchBook Mobile
4. QuintessArt

Bachelors’ Degree in Technical Management I could have used these:
1. iHomework
2. Cheap Textbooks Price Search
3. FrostWire
4. Cole's Calculus Review
5. Formulas Lite
6. Phocabulary
7. Memory Trainer
8. LangLearner Lessons
There are so many useful apps to choose from. I mean all are fun and packet with knowledge. I think that my next step is to explore the price points for phones and service. I am excited to get the new GRE app. I have been using a youtube prep course for the vocabulary but, it would be great to have them on my phone to study at those “special” times we all have…waiting for someone…or something!

  4. It is my opinion that before too long the only phones available will be smartphones and then it will be so normal, we will not know how we ever got along without them.

  5. It's so nice that smart phones are a lot cheaper here than the US. My Android is £20/mo and that's everything. Since incoming calls and text are free (which should be I think -- I shouldn't have to pay for those calling me wanting to just talk :)) I don't have to get a high calling plan. For many it's very affordable too because if one gets paid about $10/hr in the US it'll be £10/hr here. So it's 1:1 comparison even though the exchange rate is a bit painful on the dollar side. I hope you can get one soon. You, who loves technology, will never look back once you get it and you'd seriously wonder why you lived that long without :P
