Well, so many options and so little experience. I have to say that I like having more control of my end project and Photostory allows you to. Although my Animoto video did not take as long I really liked the Photostory application. I think the hardest part in this project was being able to get my child to be silent during the recording. So, in order to accomplish my audio recording I had to wake up at 5 am. The funny thing is that she got up too!
Using Animoto I was really disappointed that I could not type all the words I needed to give the complete story. In my Photostory I was able to make transitions and narrate according to the picture on the screen. This was wonderful as you get the feel of the picture and you are not rushed into the next one. I did like the automatic adjustment of time according to the narration too. It is so easy to get you on track.
I do not think I will use Animoto except for showing pictures but, it is an easy tool to have in your arsenal. I do think I will be using Photostory for a lot of my classes. It is going to be great for art projects.
Couldn't agree more! I was pretty frustrated with Animoto and everything I tried to do just didn't seem to work. But maybe if I had used it first, before Photo Story it may have been different.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with Animoto. What a fun snow day activity! How long does the bread clay last?
